The Jury Special Mention Award category is being introduced this year as part of the Sustainability 4.0 Awards, instituted jointly by TERI and Frost & Sullivan. With 360 degree evaluation of all elements of sustainable development i.e. Purpose, People, Partnership and Planet, participating organizations are provide a set of services and forums for knowledge sharing and learning as part of the Awards.
In the 2019 edition of the Awards, a Special Mention Award category is being introduced to recognize Programs or initiatives that have resulted in environmental protection, social well-being and/or economic prosperity within an organization's operations and in the community; and are scalable and replicable models for others. Only companies participating in the current edition of the F&S - TERI Sustainability 4.0 Awards shall submit their Programs.
A Program is defined as a set of strategically identified interventions/initiatives aimed at achieving its stated goals and objectives within a specified timeframe, sequence and budget. Such interventions/initiatives, identified through an inclusive and comprehensive planning process, result in environmental protection, social well-being and/or economic prosperity within the organization’s operations and in the community; thereby fulfilling the organization's commitment towards sustainable development. A Program may comprise investment/infrastructure development initiatives, reform/non-investment initiatives or both.
